I finished Trellis!
Yarn: Lion Brand Baby Soft
Needles: US 7
Size: 12 months
Started: February 5th 2008
Finished: February 29th, 2008

The future owner of this sweater was born on February 6th, so I was a little late getting started. I made the 12 month size, so he should fit into it just as it starts getting cooler this fall/winter. The pattern is cute and was pretty easy to follow. I had an issue with the sleeves not being as big as the armholes (thats why they look funny in the pictures), but it should fit him well.

Today we went to HD to buy grout, and as soon as Lost was over (excellent episode), we got to work.

(Sideways obviously… too busy to fix it)
We were a little wary at first – the grout was very crumbly and seemed too dry, but we gave it a shot.

Let it sit for 20 minutes, then proceeded to wipe up the extra. Poof – it looked like a real floor!

Now we let it cure for two days and seal the grout, then Sunday we can start moving back in. We’re also going to put in new baseboards and caulk the tub. Almost done!!
I have been knitting too… Yesterday I finished knitting the parts of Trellis and tonight I seamed them together, and as soon as I post this I’m going to go finish the collar. Pics later tonight or tomorrow. Then it’s spinning time – time to break in the Woolee Winder!
Oh yeah… and as of noon today I am officially on Spring Break! What do I plan to do? Knit, spin, and sleep. Thats it.

After a week (who am I kidding, seven weeks) of getting three hours of sleep at a stretch, I left work early last night and got ELEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT of sleep. I feel so much better… I know I need more than that to make up for how much I’ve missed, but it’s a good start. Seriously, my friend who had a baby two weeks ago has the same sleep schedule I do – except she has a BABY. All I have is organic chemistry homework.Speaking of the baby… here he is:

He decided my chest was a pretty cool place to sleep, I guess. (Click on the picture to biggify it… much cuter in the larger size.)
My “babies” thought the same thing this week. Whenever I caught a nap on the couch, one of them was there to sleep with on me.

As of right now, I am halfway done with the semester. Seven weeks down, seven weeks to go. This week I missed my Wednesday morning nap because of a supervisor meeting, and yesterday at 9am I had a mandatory eight-hour training class for work, which meant I went straight into my shift at 6pm. That was a little too much for one week. At least it’s downhill from here.
There has been (sporadic) work on the bathroom…I finished prepping the walls and Adam painted, so we’re ready to lay the tile. The end is in sight!

We’ll lay the tile probably on Monday, then grout it Wednesday or Thursday. Then next weekend(ish) we’ll have our bathroom back!
OOOOHHHH! I finally got my Woolee Winder!

Off to play!
