Archive for December, 2008

So, needless to say, blogging has become somewhat sporadic recently.  I figured I had to at least pop in to finish off the year, and get 2009 off to the right start.  I’ve never been a “New Year’s Resolution” kind of girl, but for some reason this year I’m really looking at the New Year as a fresh start.  Not sure why – it’s been a good year and I really can’t complain – but I’m going to go with it.  I’m not going to list them here, but it’s got me excited to get 2009 started.

Nursing school starts in 12 days!  I can’t wait to get started.

No, my braces will not be off for Thanksgiving. Or my birthday. Or Christmas. Or New Year’s. Or our anniversary. Or before I start nursing school.

Thanks, teeth.

Just call me Martha Stewart!  I saw a blog post last year from someone who knit 12 pairs of socks and used them as a Christmas countdown, and it was super adorable and I filed it away in the back of my brain.  Fast forward to four days ago – Adam and I were decorating the tree, and I had the sudden urge to decorate and knit tiny socks.  I got garland to hang around the doorway to the kitchen, bought a few balls of yarn, and started knitting.  And voila!  (I’ve always wanted to say that)

I have a few more ideas for patterns in my head, but I’ll be running dry shortly. I’m excited though, they’re really cute and they knit up fast. I swore I wouldn’t do any Christmas knitting this year, but this hardly counts – it’s a gift after all!

(I also may or may not have been bad and cast on two other new projects in the last week. At least I finished a couple first…)
